A teaser for Sex Education season 4 has arrived, and it will be the last one.
Netflix has revealed that the popular programme will conclude with a bang this autumn, with Season 4 premiering on September 21.
But don’t despair, because our favourite characters are returning for one more trip – and the official teaser promises havoc till the finish.
Despite four seasons of lecturing his fellow classmates about all things sex, Asa Butterfield’s Otis Milburn’s delivery hasn’t improved.
He addresses a bunch of college friends in the trailer, and he’s just as uncomfortable as ever.
‘Thinking about sex comes extremely effortlessly to me since I learnt all I know about sex from my mother,’ he continues, as everyone around him gasps in horror.
best friend Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) is left to clean up after Otis, as he rises up and says, ‘For heavens sake! Just say you’re a sex therapist!’
The trailer also provides insight into the lives of Aimee Gibbs (Aimee Lou Wood), Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey), Adam Groff (Connor Swindells), and Ruby Matthews (Mimi Keene).
We show Adam in what appears to be a high-speed automobile chase with his father, while Maeve has flown to the United States to study, accompanied by new instructor and Schitts Creek star Da Levy.
Meanwhile, Otis is back at home, umm, taking nude mirror pictures and having awkward discussions with Ruby after dumped her and left her sad.
Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson), his mother, appears to be raising a child alone.
Fans are understandably upset that the hit programme is coming to an end, but they have one last request.
Following the cliffhanger of Season 3 in which Maeve experienced a long-awaited kiss with Otis before leaving to America, viewers are now yearning for a happy ending.
‘I hope Maeve and Otis are the end game’, one person tweeted.
‘We better see Otis and Maeve together and in love’, another demanded.
