Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa had actually eaten an Oreo before the reunion, as fans have discovered from an old clip from 2019.
Viewers may remember some pretty iconic moments from the reunion episode of season 5, from Maya Vander reacting to Chrishell Stause’s romance with G Flip, to Jason Oppenheim confirming Christine Quinn is no longer part of the Oppenheim Group.
But one moment involving Heather has stood out, as host Tan France brought out a plate of Oreos for her to try, after a scene aired where the Selling Sunset stars were discussing how Heather had never tried an Oreo before.
‘You said on the show that you’ve never had an Oreo! How is that possible?’ a stunned Tan asked her.
It turns out, as some detective fans highlighted on Reddit, that Heather had actually eaten an Oreo before.
In a video from 2019, which Heather had shared on Instagram, the 34-year-old is enjoying a vegan Oreo cake while being filmed by her husband Tarek El Moussa.
In the clip, Heather’s confirming that her ‘vegan oreo cake’ is ‘yummy’ as she digs in.
‘A minute ago, you were eating with your hands and it was all over the floor, it’s on your shoes,’ Tarek teases.
Heather adds: ‘I get one cheat day in a year and this is my cheat day.’
She captioned the video: ‘I ate myself into a food coma. Excuse me while I roll myself into bed and pass out after this amazing birthday weekend,’ adding: ‘I have a weakness for sweets…. I don’t cheat often but when I do it’s on!!!!’
A fan sharing the clip to Reddit commented: ‘Never had an Oreo… right, Heather. Who even lies about that???’
Another commented: ‘This is the drama I want.’
In the reunion, Tan brought out a plate of Oreos to Heather, saying: ‘I actually want to see you eat an Oreo.’
‘Are they confirmed vegan, you guys? Can someone Google it? I’m joking,’ she replied, before saying: ‘I’m going to get chocolate on my teeth.’
‘Mmm,’ she added, before she gave the rest to Jason to finish.
‘I want to make it very clear to everyone at home, this is not spun. We do not get an endorsement deal from Oreo,’ Tan joked.
Heather added: ‘I am a total health freak. I’m very careful with what I put in my body. I love dessert, I’m a dessert girl.’
Fans finding out Heather had eaten Oreos before follows Christine exposing ‘fake storylines’ in the Netflix series.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the series premiering, Christine suggested that all wasn’t as it seemed, penning: ’30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset.
’Enjoy the new season and all of it’s 5,000 fake storylines!’
Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
