Rob Beckett horrifies Mel Giedroyc by revealing he accidentally left a bag of soiled underwear on a date’s bed

Thought you had a bad date story? Well, it probably pales in comparison to Rob Beckett’s.

In the latest episode of Mel Giedroyc’s Unforgiveable on Dave, the comic recalls the absolute grimmest date story imaginable after popping a bag of poo on a poor woman’s bed and accidentally leaving it there.

Rob has been married to Louise Watts since 2015, and they share two daughters which inspired his massively popular podcast Parenting Hell with Josh Widdecombe.

However, while he was still a single pringle and on the dating scene, he had a pretty bleak experience.

‘We weren’t properly dating, sort of seeing her,’ he told Mel, her co-host Lou Sanders, as well as guests Scarlett Moffat, Paul Chowdbury. ‘And she lived with her auntie and uncle.

‘In the middle of the night I became very ill with food poisoning. And as I was being sick, I messed my pants. Quite severely.’

Rob did clean up his mess but his horror was far from over.

‘Ultimately I finished, I cleaned up the bathroom. And I then obviously had these pants that were gone so I found a plastic bag, put them in a bag right, and then hid ’em in the cistern of the toilet.

‘So I put it in there, then go back to bed.

‘She gets up to go to work like seven or eight in the morning.’

‘I go back in and get the bag out the cistern. And then it’s all dry and stuff like that, but it’s obviously a bag of pants and s**t so I put it on her bed.

‘As I’m getting dressed I know that if I put it right in the middle of the bed I know I won’t forget it then because it’ll be there. It’s looking at you in it?

‘So I get dressed, go downstairs, the door to the house I haven’t got a key for slams behind me.’

Rob did warn his date then when she returned home there would be a nasty surprise waiting for her, and urged her to take said bag straight to a street bin and ‘let’s never talk about this ever again’.
