Phillip Schofield reportedly hasn’t spoken to his former co-host Eamonn Holmes since the host quit This Morning in November.
The 62-year-old journalist waved goodbye to the popular morning programme after 15 years to join GB News.
However, according to reports, the Dancing On Ice presenter hasn’t reached out to Eamonn since his exit.
An insider told OK! Magazine: ‘It’s been quite publicised that he and Phillip didn’t really see eye to eye.’
‘Phillip hasn’t contacted Eamonn since leaving This Morning, which is a bit of a shame. Eamonn felt like Phillip didn’t really like him,’ the source added.
Regardless, Eamonn described the move to GB News as ‘one of the most exciting yet.’
He added: ‘I’ve admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate but delivered with warmth and even some fun.
‘To me the greatest honour in journalism is to give a voice and respect to the unheard, and that’s exactly what GB News is all about.’
In 2019, it was reported that Eamonn’s wife Ruth Langsford, 60, who also presents This Morning filed a complaint against Phillip.
A source told The Sun it was to do with an incident where Phillip cut off a Loose Women segment and Ruth was seen slamming down her pen.
‘Ruth and Eamonn both appear to be treated harshly by Phillip,’ they said.
‘After Phillip literally cut her off in the middle of a sentence on air when she was hosting Loose Women she decided enough was enough. Yet again nothing changed.’
However, both Eamonn and Ruth showed their support on air when Phillip came out as gay in February 2020.
Hugging them both, Phil sat down alongside Holly on the sofa, saying ‘thank you’ to his co-hosts over and over again.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
