Ever wondered what some celebs do in their leisure time on Saturdays?
After reading Gregg Wallace’s explanation of his weekend routine, many people’s moderate interest has grown to complete bafflement.
The MasterChef star revealed how he generally spends his Saturdays, which begin at the excruciatingly early hour of 5 a.m. and end with him sleeping off at 9 p.m.
However, everything that happens in between has utterly thrown people off, causing bewilderment, contempt, and even Alan Partridge analogies.
Speaking to The Telegraph Magazine for their My Saturday series, the 59-year-old explained how every day of the week, he wakes up at 5am before reading for an hour, making himself a coffee and checking his emails.
Despite the early wake-up, Gregg had a typical morning before heading to the gym at 7 a.m.
This may sound typical, but he stated that the staff let him in half an hour before it opens so that he may go for a swim and sauna by himself.
We can’t help but feel bad for the gym workers if they had to arrive at work earlier than normal to let him in!

One X user called Sian questioned: ‘Ok, who is opening up their Fitness First early to let in Gregg Wallace?’
Continuing to relay his morning regime, Gregg went on: ‘Then I’ll review my to-do list while walking on a treadmill, no sweating. I aim for 50,000 steps a week – I do about 7,000 a day.’
Gregg revealed that for breakfast, he meets his personal assistant Helen at his local Harvester, where he eats bacon, sausage and a fried egg while praising the restaurant’s grilled chicken and salad bar.
Another X user called Anna remarked: ‘Imagine being that person at the gym who has to get there half an hour early so Gregg Wallace can have a solitary swim, or his PA that has to go to Harvester every Saturday morning and watch him eat his bacon and eggs.’
The TV star’s Saturday routine had readers in awe inside the first few hours. But it did not end there.

Gregg revealed that he returns home around midday for lunch with his wife Anne-Marie Sterpini before spending time with their four-year-old son Sid, who is nonverbal and autistic.
Opening up about becoming a father again while in his 50s, he stated: ‘I’m a much better father now I’m older, although another child isn’t something that I would have chosen at my age.
‘I was always very honest with Anna, but it’s what she wanted and I love her. I just requested two things – that we had help in the house (so her mum moved in), and secondly that we had at least one week a year when we holidayed just the two of us.’

Despite being best-known for his role as a judge on MasterChef, Gregg added that he would describe himself as an ‘amateur historian’… the reason being that on Saturdays he spends two hours on his own playing Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, which is set in 878 AD.
Dr Kate Womersley, an NHS doctor in psychiatry, quipped on X: ‘How do we break it to Gregg Wallace that this isn’t actually what historians do?’

As the evening comes to a close, Gregg stated that he goes to bed around 8 p.m., falls asleep by 9 p.m., and then wakes up at 5 a.m. the next day.
After reading his story of his Saturday, one user named Rachel said, ‘Can’t believe this isn’t parady.’
Josiah stated: ‘I strongly urge you to read this (real) day in the life of Gregg Wallace. It basically gets worse with every paragraph.’
Meanwhile, Glen shared: ‘I’m not entirely surprised by his Partridge-esque interview.’
The X account for Wrexham fans in Europe also chimed in, adding: ‘Gregg Wallace channeling his inner Partridge: Visit for the article, stay for the comments .’
Gregg recently opened up about his five-stone weight loss, which he said that he achieved despite eating ‘mountains’ of food.
‘I could eat mountains of food as long as it was the right food,’ he outlined, after doing more research into the impact that a change in nutrition could have on his life.
‘And that was a complete and utter revelation to me that I wasn’t hungry, that I was enjoying my food,’ he told OK!.
