Pedro Pascal has revealed that requests from The Mandalorian fans, particularly parents, are freaking him out.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian will be released next week, and the Star Wars spin-off has quickly become one of the most talked-about new programmes in recent memory.
While Pascal was already well-known, the sci-fi film probably placed him on the map in a huge way.
The Last of Us actor, 47, spoke on Friday night’s The Graham Norton Show alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Ariana ‘did the thing’ DeBose, where he discussed the overwhelming response to The Mandalorian from fans.
‘I am enjoying it, but I am trying to figure it all out,’ he told Graham.
Discussing the intense fandom, he added: ‘People come up to me and ask me to do the voice for their kids, but I think it sounds inappropriate because it is a breathy, low register ‘bedroom’ voice – it is so creepy and doesn’t work in real life.’
While Pascal had to keep all facts about The Mandalorian season 3 under wraps, he did confess that he is fully aware that Grogu – dubbed ‘baby Yoda’ – has overshadowed him.
‘Yes, absolutely. He is remarkably lifelike and a real screen partner but does steal every scene,’ he teased.
Grogu became the buzz of the town after the first season three trailer was released, utilising the force to battle adversaries after being taught as a Jedi.
The Mandalorian season 3 will be available to stream on Disney Plus from March 3.
