Ollie Locke has had trouble keeping a straight face while learning how to do a “ball massage.”
The 36-year-old Made in Chelsea star was one of three celebs who signed up for the Channel 4 programme Celebrity Save Our Sperm to stop “spermageddon.”
As male birth rates drop (they’ve dropped by half in the last 50 years), he, Russell Kane, and Melvin Odoom joined forces in a “ballsy attempt” to raise their sperm count in 10 days.
As part of the challenge, the three men were shown a method that can help get sperm moving, and their comments were pretty funny.
Melvin joked that his phone was breaking up when he was first asked to take part in the practise. He was clearly not ready to take off his clothes in front of the group.
But body work and relationship coach Libby Shepherd was there, and a model named Lazlo went to work. The men watched as he pulled on his scrotum and kneaded his testicles.
As Libby talked about the different kinds of massages, she also talked about how the rubs helped the blood flow.
Even though the guys weren’t teenagers, they did look a little shocked as they tried to understand what they were seeing.
Melvin had his eyes wide open and didn’t seem to know where to look. Ollie seemed confused and winced at one point as the rubs got stronger.
Then, they were told that stress can make it harder to get pregnant, so a gentle massage play could help them feel better.
But when Melvin told Lazlo to start pulling on his groyne, Melvin looked very worried and said, “No, no, no!”
Ollie, on the other hand, looked like he was trying hard not to smile, while Russell just took it all in.
But Dr. Anand Patel, who was the show’s host, said that doing these exercises daily was also important for catching testicular cancer early, and that every man over 15 should do a self-exam every month.
At the way things are going now, it is thought that by 2045, most Western men will not be able to have children.
So, the men changed their diets, tried to get rid of plastic, and quit smoking, coffee, and sweets to see if they could improve the quality and number of their sperm.
