*Warning: Season 6 of Selling Sunset spoilers below*
Chrishell Stause, star of Selling Sunset, hinted that her tenure with the Oppenheim Group would be coming to an end at the end of season six.
The former actress has had a rollercoaster ride on the Netflix show, having debuted at the start of the first series in 2019.
However, as her relationship with boyfriend G Flip – whom she just married in a surprise Las Vegas wedding – heated up, the 41-year-old had a fight with Mary Fitzgerald in the closing episode, where she stated that she’s no longer ‘hungry’ for real estate.
In the end, she said that she didn’t want to waste time attempting to sell the penthouse apartments that Mary and Jason Oppenheim had worked so hard on because she thought they were ‘overpriced’ at $7.5 million.
‘To be honest with you, the area is tough at this price point. I don’t have anybody that would spend,’ she said. ‘I don’t want to spend time on something that, personally, to be really honest with you, I think it’s overpriced.
‘I probably am not going to help on this one, but I’m excited to see what it ends up selling for.’
When Mary remarked that Chrishell wasn’t being a ‘team player’ with her actions, she agreed – but also wondered whether others more connected with the project had grown ‘too attached’ and couldn’t understand what it was truly worth.
‘Of course, I want you to make as much money as you can, but as far as the team goes, I feel like there are people that are hungry,’ she continued. ‘I’d be lying if I said I’m in that same place right now. I’m not, I’m so happy in my relationship…
‘That’s part of being at the Oppenheim Group,’ Mary interjected. ‘You have to be hungry.’
‘I know but I’m well fed on other things, so it’s hard,’ she replied. ‘I openly admit I’m not giving my end-all-be-all to this office. I’m not. But I am [happy]…
‘Even now, I have to be 100% honest with you, we’re here having a very important conversation but in the back of my head, G is in Australia. It’s not real estate that my brain is thinking of.’
Mary begged her to ‘go be with G’ through tears, and Chrishell left the party shortly after, implying that her time at the workplace was coming to an end.
However, a trailer for season seven showed her fully immersed in the drama, showing that she hasn’t left the show yet.
Despite all the chaos, the agent insisted that the series is ‘one of our strongest seasons’, in a candid chat with Entertainment Tonight.
‘If I watch it as a viewer, I know it is something that they are going to absolutely love,’ she told the outlet. ‘Most of the time, when it feels the hardest [to shoot], it means it made for the best television. So you guys are going to love it.
‘It really just puts us all in a pot, and it just turns the heat up. Things are going to explode.’
Well, she’s not wrong.
