Heather Rae El Moussa has labelled Selling Sunset as ‘poison’ following her departure from the show.
The Netflix series premiered in 2019 and follows a group of agents working for the Oppenheim Group, a high-end real estate brokerage business in Los Angeles.
Heather, who appeared in the first six seasons, was followed by cameras in both her personal and professional lives, as were Mary Fitzgerald, Chrishell Stause, and Amanza Smith.
Heather participated in parts of the most recent seventh season before going on maternity leave, and she said last year that she had not been contacted about returning to the programme.
‘It’s been a little frustrating. So [I’m] not sure what’s been going on,’ she said.
She then appeared to confirm her leave by publishing a statement on social media paying respect to co-star and close friend Bre Tiesi, stating that although if they weren’t ‘on the same show together anymore’, their connection was’stronger than ever’.

A few months later, she’s taken aim at the programme and several of her former coworkers.
In an interview with The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast this week, the 36-year-old was accompanied by her husband Tarek El Moussa, with whom she produces and appears in the show The Flipping El Moussas.
‘It was a blessing that I wasn’t asked to come back because I’m so much happier filming my show with Tarek,’ she said.
‘We’re co-producers on our show so we pick the hours. With Selling Sunset, I never knew when I was going to be filming.
‘It was last minute, it took over my life, it was hard to do my real job — real estate. It was hard to do anything else.’
Heather then revealed that she would frequently return home in tears after working on the show for 12-14 hours a day.
‘It was crazy. They just want more and more and more and you saw me on the show,’ she recalled.
Fans of the programme are aware that things may become tense between the agents at times, with Heather stating that she did her best to avoid the drama.
‘I pretty much was level-headed almost the whole time. I was kind of friends with everyone and I kept things pretty chill in my life,’ she explained, adding the series was ‘very toxic’.
‘You’re around a bunch of women [who all want] to be stars on the show, you know, number one. And they’ll kind of do anything.’
Heather gave birth to her son Tristan in January of last year and is also stepmother to Tarek’s daughters Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall.

Last year she told People taking a break from filming when becoming a new mum had eliminated some unnecessary drama from her life.
‘I love being able to prioritise my family and my happiness and step away from some of the drama that Selling Sunset brought into my life,’ she said.
‘A lot of things happened that I choose not to speak about, but overall, I am very happy with how my life is.’
Heather subsequently stated that it was ‘bittersweet’ not to be a part of the programme longer, however she appears to still work for the Oppenheim Group.
Selling Sunset is streaming on Netflix.
