With Heartstopper season 2 just around the corner, Netflix decided to release a teaser trailer, much to the joy of audiences everywhere.
While we don’t have much longer to wait for the blockbuster series to return on August 3, any snippet of the new installment will enough to keep us going for the next month.
The series, starring Kit Connor as rugby lad Nick Nelson and Joe Locke as timid youngster Charlie Spring, depicts the pair’s romantic connection as they attend an all-boys grammar school.
And the teaser trailer, which was published just as the actors skillfully blew off religious demonstrators during Pride, offers even more of their touching love story.
Nick and Charlie have a sweet moment on top of Paris’ Eiffel Tower, gazing into one other’s eyes in the 30-second film.
More clips of their budding affair follow, including a smooch on the bed and a jubilant birthday celebration.

The first season, which also starred Yasmin Finney and William Gao, was such a success that it was renewed for two more seasons – now there’s a third series to look forward to.
But, returning to Season 2, Yasmin, who will also appear in Doctor Who, warned that there would be “so many things that happen with [her character] Elle this season that you’re not ready for.”
‘I would say Elle is different in that she’s more confident. She surrounds herself with people that elevate her.’
Alice Oseman, the creator of the original Heartstopper comic books, has promised ‘wonderful’ scripts from lead star Kit.
Joe, another key actor, adding that his character is on a ‘journey’ this time.
‘His story’s a bit more mature.’
Heartstopper season 1 is available to stream on Netflix and season 2 lands on August 3.
