BBC Three’s brand-new drama has a strong personal connection to the show’s leading lady Nicôle Lecky, as the story is adapted from Nicôle’s Royal Court play Superhoe.
There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the programme ahead of its debut on Tuesday night (March 1).
The actress and singer-songwriter, 25, has produced the original soundtrack for the series which she will perform across the exciting new six-parter.
With a killer soundtrack, and some outfits to fuel your fashion inspo, Mood also touches on important issues, particularly the dark side of social media influencing, as well as the struggles of family life.

What is Mood about?
Mood follows 25-year-old wannabe singer 25-year-old Sasha Clayton (Lecky)who is desperate to make a name for herself as a major recording megastar.
But as it stands, she’s making an EP from the comfort of her bedroom where she spends her days smoking weed and stalking her ex-boyfriend Anton on Instagram, and engaging in explosive arguments with her mum Laura, step-dad Kevin, and sister Megan.
Following a physical altercation with Kevin and Megan, she’s kicked out of her house and is forced to fend for herself.
Her luck changes when she’s introduced to social media influencer Carly, who invites her to a launch party that day, and Sasha uses the opportunity to make some connections in a world that is ‘more complex and darker than she could have imagined’
BBC’s official synopsis reads: ‘The seductive world of influencers hides dark secrets. With nowhere to turn, can aspiring musician Sasha break free?’
When does Mood start?
Mood airs on March 1 on BBC Three at 10.05pm.
Speaking about her latest project, Lecky expressed the joy of bringing her one-woman play to life.
‘I had such a joy creating the world and performing these characters,’ she said.
‘Working with Shaheen Baig and the team to bring them to life on screen has been a dream.
‘I cannot wait for everyone to see our super talented cast and live every moment with Sasha and them.’
Who is in the cast of Mood?
Alongside Lecky is Lara Peaky who plays party girl Carly, a 22-year-old Northern influencer who takes Sasha under her wing and introduces her to the new world of social media influencing.
Elsewhere, Anton who plays Sasha’s ex-boyfriend in the series is portrayed by My Mum Tracy Beaker actor Jordan Duvigneau.
Other stars that feature in Mood are Saleem (Mohammad Dalmar), Sasha’s drug dealer who lets her crash on his sofa after her family kicks her out.
Years and Years actress Jessica Hynes plays Sasha’s mum, while Game of Thrones’ Paul Kaye stars as Sasha’s step-dad.
