Mollie Gallagher and Siva Kaneswaran were so close to making it to the Dancing On Ice grand final, but it wasn’t to be.
The surviving finalists performed twice on tonight’s live programme in an attempt to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse, and Ashley Banjo.
The stars initially performed a solo skate, followed by a dance piece created especially for them.
Nile Wilson and The Vivienne have qualified for the final, according to presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Mollie and her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon, Joey Essex and Vanessa Bauer, and Siva and skating pro Klabera Komini, on the other hand, had to skate again to please the judges.
The judges had a difficult decision to make, but all four chose to save the former Towie star.
‘I’m just so happy and proud of all of us,’ said Siva after Holly and Phillip asked them how they were feeling.
Mollie added: ‘I’ve actually achieved everything I wanted, I wanted to do my personal skate and I’ve done it. I’m so so happy.’
Fans took to Twitter to show their support for Mollie and Siva, with one writing: ‘Mollie & Sylvain have done brilliantly each week & did so well to make it to the semi final! Be proud of yourselves.’
Another added: ‘Siva skate gave me goosebumps i felt it had more meaning and personally was the best for me what a fix wrong so wrong.’
After a frightening tumble during the first act, The Vivienne received three 10s from the judges for her emotive rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
It was also a fantastic night for gymnast Nile Wilson, who won the solo skate and the first 40 of the series.
Dancing On Ice returns next Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV.
