Master Of None season 3 is set to shine a light on the relationship between Lena Waithe’s Denise and her partner Alicia (played by Naomi Ackie).
The first-look trailer for the returning Netflix show focuses on the couple’s romance, with Denise proposing a hypothetical.
‘Let’s say we’re at a party, Maxwell’s playing,’ she tells her other half. ‘You don’t know me, I don’t know you. If I asked you out on a date, would you say yes?’
After Denise asks the question, a montage of heartfelt moments from their relationship plays out and shows them doing everything from menial tasks together, such as washing up, to comforting each other and sharing a romantic bath surrounded by candles.
At the end of the collection of scenes, Alicia softly replies: ‘Yes. I said yes then and I say yes now.’
‘This new season is a modern love story that intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart,’ teases the show’s synopsis.

‘Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised.’
Master Of None is directed by series co-creator and Emmy winner Aziz Ansari, and scripted by Ansari and Waithe.
The Netflix show first arrived in 2015 and focused on a group of millennial friends living in New York, tackling subjects such as love, family and race.
Master Of None season 3 arrives on Netflix on May 23.
