Married At First Sight Australia season six had viewers hooked from the very beginning – with drama erupting on every single episode.
The show was filmed in 2018 and aired on the other side of the world the following year, but is currently playing out on E4 in the UK.
We’ve surpassed the halfway point of the show, and have already seen some almighty rows, make-ups, break-ups and affairs.
What more could producers possibly have for us?
It’s fair to say that, in the three years between the show was filmed and now, the cast members have definitely switched up their looks.
But what are the biggest Married At First Sight transformations?
Elizabeth Sobinoff
Elizabeth Sobinoff lost 10kg (one-and-a-half stone) after being fat-shamed by groom Sam Ball in shocking scenes from their wedding day.
Just moments after meeting, he cruelly told the cameras that he had ‘never dated someone as big as her’, and added that he ‘hoped to get her running in the mornings’.
Following her doomed first stint on the show, Elizabeth hit the gym to reduce stress, and went on the 5:2 diet.
Spilling the beans on her transformation, she told WHO magazine: ’It’s still very much me.
‘I know people are going to say, “Well, you look completely different to how we saw you [on the show]” – but don’t always focus on the outer shell.
‘This has always been me. We grow, as people. I don’t glorify weight [loss] and be like, “I’m better now”.’
Ines Basic
There is no doubt that Ines was the breakout star of Married At First Sight season six, thanks largely to her cutting comments and scandalous affair with Sam behind the backs of their partners, Bronson and Elizabeth.
Since she gave us the mother of all scandals, Ines underwent a whole makeover – explaining that she had lip fillers and Botox injects in her forehead and around her eyes.
She also had a whole set of porcelain veneers put in – with dentist work changing the ‘alignment’ of her both.
‘When the dentist redid my mouth it changed the alignment and it was sort of like having a jaw reconstruction too,’ she told the Sun.
‘I also get Botox in masseter muscles [around the jaw], that’s why my face now looks a lot different.’
Sam Ball
Sam found himself in the middle of the biggest MAFS scandal in history, when he embarked on the aforementioned affair with Ines.
And he has enjoyed a massive transformation in the years since he walked down the aisle.
New pictures on his Instagram show the star rocking a shaved head, which is a huge difference to the locks he sported throughout the season.
As well as the new hair, he also added more tattoos to his already-wide collection of inkings, and has clearly been spending a lot of time in the gym.
Billy Vincent
Billy became an instant fan favourite when he headed down the aisle with Susie Bradley – despite being a newcomer halfway through the series.
While he has had a rollercoaster time of it in front of cameras, the barista has definitely kept himself busy in the gym after filming – stunning new followers with his transformation.
Taking to Instagram, he uploaded topless snaps on social media, showing off his muscles – adding a bit of stubble to his trademark baby face.
Michael Brunelli
Michael has undoubtedly been a MAFS fan favourite, from his loved-up relationship with wife Martha to showing off his sweet side with the school children he teaches.
When the cameras stopped rolling, the star went for the chop and shaved off his long locks to raise money for charity – proving that he’s an all-round good guy.
A shaved head is transformation enough, but Michael went a step further, dying what was left of his hair blonde.
There aren’t very many people in the world that could pull off the style, but Michael rocked it and made it work. Since the makeover, he dyed his hair back to his original colour, but has still kept the shaved look going.
And we are fully obsessed.
Married At First Sight season six continues on weekdays, at 7.30pm, on E4.
