Mark Wright, the host of Challenge UK, addressed James Lock’s violent incident, which ended in the Towie star ‘fracturing his eye sockets.’
Based on the popular American programme, which has Mark as the host, the five-part series follows fourteen celebrities as they compete in a variety of gruelling challenges in pairs.
On the new game show, reality star James, 36, will appear with participants such as Curtis and AJ Pritchard, as well as Love Island‘s Kaz Crossley and Kaz Kamwi.
According to sources, James was the first celebrity to be kicked from the programme after failing the tasks, and his injuries required him to be hospitalised.
The teaser also showed his eyes totally swollen from his time on the show.
Mark remembered James’ horrible tragedy on Tuesday’s This Morning, telling hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, ‘It was a little bit of a weird accident.’
‘It was a platform above water, I think it was about three meters high, which is quite high.
‘It was just the way he, unfortunately, hit the water that he fractured both of his eye sockets. It was terrible.’
