After the winter contestant made a move on Indiyah Polack, Love Island stars Dami Hope and David Salako got into a heated argument.
Since Tanya Mahenga chose to pair off with Shaq Muhammed, the 24-year-old was the first contestant to be booted from this season.
Season 8 competitor Dami made fun of David’s hairstyle after he returned to the UK, saying he would “chop his hair” for him.
But David decided to publicly shame Dami on the video sharing platform TikTok.
‘Dami, you’ve been getting onto me since I left the villa,’ he said.
‘I’ve stolen your barber, you know what I’m going for next.’
Obviously, Dami wasn’t amused by David’s remark, and he didn’t wait around for an opportunity to have the final word.
‘You couldn’t even bag a girl in the villa, and you think you can take mine,’ he wrote via Instagram Stories alongside some laughing emojis.
David stated his intentions to not pursue a romantic relationship with Dami’s partner Indiyah in a new Secure the Insecure Podcast, which was shared with The Sun.
‘Let’s be real, I’m not speaking to Indiyah at all,’ he explained.
‘Dami made comments about my appearance twice on social media.
‘I’ve not made one comment back because that’s not in my nature. So I have made a light hearted joke, just in response to his personal comments, and that was it.’
Dami and Indiyah met one other for the first time during the 2022 summer season of Love Island, and their relationship has flourished ever since.
Presently, Indiyah co-hosts a podcast called Aftersun with former reality star Sam Thompson.
In other news, winter participant David recently revealed that Zara Lackenby-Brown and Olivia Hawkins actually have a past outside the villa despite their continuing dispute.
It was something they talked about in the villa and shared with everyone, he claimed. Zara probably let it go that she knew Liv, and Liv probably verified it.
Later he elaborated, “Yeah, I just want to affirm that the dispute between Zara and Olivia is 100% true.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
