A Love Island 2023 contestant has admitted to making a catfish account in order to find a guy she was interested in.
The ITV juggernaut series’ winter edition premiered on Monday, with Maya Jama, 28, presenting the dating show for the first time since taking over from Laura Whitmore.
The premiere was drama-packed from the start, with three Islanders making a play for PE teacher Kai Fagan, while bombshell Tom Clare made an unexpected appearance at the end of the hour-long episode.
The second season of Love Island, which is being shot in a £1.2 million mansion in South Africa’s wine region, promises to be just as riveting, with several explosive revelations.
The Islanders will be invited to the series’ first challenge on Tuesday, in which they will air their dirty laundry in front of their fellow contestants and, er, the nation.
The group will be divided into boys and girls, and each will slide into a pool of foam where hidden props will provide clues and a massive pair of pants will reveal a secret.
When the revelation is revealed, they will each have to snog the Islander they believe it is about; if they are correct, they will each win a point for their team.
The identity of the boy who had a foursome with his friend and two girls, as well as the Islander whose special talent is pulling MILFS, will be among the secrets to be revealed.
Viewers will also discover which girl refers to her favourite sex position as “backshots,” as well as which girl used a catfish account to stalk a guy and was caught.
Who do you think is to blame for the Islanders’ shocking revelations?
With the truth set to be revealed tonight, fans will be hoping that the second episode of Love Island airs without a hitch after yesterday’s disaster.
Many viewers took to Twitter to complain to ITV about glitching throughout the premiere, resulting in missed opportunities.
On Twitter, one user said, ‘ITV, you had one job, what’s with the glitching?’ while another said, ‘This glitching needs to stop ASAP.’
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
