Former Love Island star Jack Keating has left fans guessing since declaring he was a father, but the identity of his child’s mother looks to have been revealed.
The reality TV personality, who is the son of Irish musician Ronan Keating, revealed on Thursday that he was a first-time father.
Jack, 23, one of Casa Amor 2022’s bombshells, didn’t spend much time in the villa and left after failing to pair up with any of the original Islanders.
Last week, he captioned a black-and-white snapshot of himself holding his child, ‘Welcome to the world, my little [princess emoji].’
While he did not disclose the name of his baby’s mother, several remarks tagged artist Keely Iqbal also congratulated her.
‘She is your double through and through. Congratulations both,’ one person wrote while mentioning both Jack and Keely.
‘It’s about time. At least it’s out now,’ they added.
Another said: ‘Congrats to you and @keelyiqbal soo proud of you!’
Describing herself as ‘Mummy. Artist. Sneakerhead’ on her business Instagram page, Keely works as an artist designing custom trainers.
She has also posted images of her developing baby bulge during her pregnancy.
Keely and Jack are not thought to be together after he claimed earlier this month that he was ‘single and ready to mingle’ after first revealing her pregnancy in October.
He also stated that he used dating apps and had signed up to participate on Dinner Dates.
Several fans were taken aback by his announcement, assuming that because Jack was just in the Love Island villa eight months ago, Keely must have been pregnant when he travelled to Mallorca.
Notwithstanding the controversy surrounding his conception, his post was flooded with well-wishes, including those from his parents, Ronan and Yvonne Connolly.
Ronan, 46, is a father of five children and the proud grandfather of his first grandchild.
Yvonne wrote: ‘I miss her so much already’.
Jack stated that he had been unmarried for a “long time” before joining the Love Island villa.
‘Probably four or five years now and I’ve really been missing that spark that I haven’t been getting on the dating scene, like I’ve been dating for a long time,’ he said.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
