Lorraine Kelly has been blasted by James Acaster after picking Piers Morgan as her hero of 2020 on The Last Leg.
When asked to name a person who had made a big difference over the past 12 months, the television presenter had an unexpected answer – and James didn’t hold back.
‘Stay with me on this one – Piers Morgan,’ Lorraine said, revealing her hero of the year.
As soon as she said it, her fellow guest James Acaster replied: ‘Go f*** yourself’.
The audience and host Adam Hills fell about laughing, with Lorraine asking him to ‘stay with [her]’.
Lorraine and James were appearing on the special New Year’s Eve version of the Channel 4 show, joining hosts Adam, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker when the moment happened.
Viewers found the exchange absolutely hilarious, with many taking to Twitter after James’s comment to say it was their last-minute highlight of 2020.
‘James Acaster telling Lorraine Kelly to ‘go f*** yourself’ is my fav moment of 2020,’ one said.
‘[The Last Leg] keeping me laughing through a first ever New Years on my ones! James Acaster telling Lorraine Kelly to f*** herself is definitely the highlight.’
James may not agree, but Lorraine might have a point.
Piers has had another busy year – emerging as one of the most prominent voices during lockdown.
