Loose Women may have unwittingly ruined the Celebrity Big Brother debut episode.
Jane Moore returned to the panel after a hiatus that includes a tour with Sharon Osbourne, and she revealed the 71-year-old diva will be joining the roster when the reality programme resumes on Monday.
After discussing their road trip experiences, co-panelist Nadia Sawalha asked Jane if she was headed to the famed reality show home.
‘She is,’ Jane confirmed, with the audience and rest of the panel all sounding shocked by the news.
‘I wasn’t expecting you to answer,’ Nadia admitted, while host Kaye Adams quickly interjected: ‘I don’t think ITV have confirmed that, just a rumour!’
‘Oh no, sorry – it’s rumoured,’ Jane quipped unconvincingly, before adding :’She will be amazing!’
‘If indeed she were to transpire to go in,’ teased Kaye, while Jade joked: ‘I can neither confirm nor deny…’
In response, ITV said: ‘Any names are at this point pure speculation and viewers will have to tune to see who will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.’
Despite great efforts to keep the cast a secret, the line-up appeared to be leaked this week.
Among those headed to the Big Brother house are allegedly Ibiza Weekender star David Potts, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin, and former X Factor singer Louis Walsh.
Sharon will, however, come as a special guest star, with insiders stating she will only be on the show for a week since management are unable to meet her compensation demands.
‘The fee she wanted was eye-watering and in the end they struck a deal
which meant she would go in for a shorter run,’ an insider told The Sun.
‘It’s worked out well for everyone as she will inject some drama when
she finally walks through the doors.’
ITV stated in November that the celebrity spin-off will return on its flagship channel, ITV1, and then disclosed the launch date as Monday, March 4 – so keep your evening clean.
Celebrity Big Brother 2024 starts on Monday, March 4 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
