Kris Jenner admitted that, while she regrets cheating on her late husband Robert Kardashian, she believes it was for a good purpose.
On September 30, 2003, Robert, a father of four and one of OJ Simpson’s lawyers, died of oesophageal cancer at the age of 59.
His children Kourtney Kardashian, 44, Kim Kardashian, 43, Khloé Kardashian, 39, and Rob Kardashian Jr, 36, survive him.
Khloe brought up her mother’s 1989 romance with soccer star Todd Waterman, who was 10 years her junior, on the most recent episode of The Kardashians.
The Revenge Body host said: ‘When you did that, with my dad, and you had four kids, and you had a family, this whole thing. Yes, I know you were really young, which is a big factor.’
‘But what was my dad not doing that made you want to look elsewhere?’
The momager, 67 responds: ‘I don’t know because he was such a great husband and such a great dad and I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else. And I made a huge mistake. That’s like my life’s biggest regret.’
She later added: ‘You know, I’m not proud of the way that I behaved at that time, but you know what, everything happens for a reason. I really do live my life by thinking God has a plan and without that whole thing happening, there never would have been Kendall and Kylie.’
Kris then married Caitlyn Jenner, who was officially known as Bruce Jenner at the time, and they had two additional daughters, Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26.
Khloe previously stated that she would never be disloyal because of what she seen her parents go through, but she recently stated that a romantic reconciliation with ex Tristan Thompson is not out of the question.
Just weeks after they chose to begin the surrogacy process to have their second child together, it was revealed that the LA Lakers player had secretly fathered a baby boy with Maralee Nichols.
They split up soon after, but they had their son, Tatum, via surrogate last summer and have remained close to co-parent their family.
Malika Haqq, Khloe’s bestie, questioned if she’d welcome Tristan back into her life romantically: ‘So it’s not never?’
‘I don’t know,’ Khloe replies.
‘I don’t know what it is, it’s definitely not now.’
The Kardashians airs on Hulu in the US and is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.
