In the most recent episode of their show, Kim Kardashian told her famous family a big secret that shocked them all to the core.
In last week’s sneak peek, the 42-year-old could be seen sharing some “very important news” as she caught up with Kylie Jenner, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kris Jenner.
At the end of the new episode, she told everyone happily that she had some news to share, but it didn’t quite go the way she had planned.
Kylie went straight to the extreme and asked if the Skims boss was pregnant. She laughed and said, “No, by who?” The 500 men and women I’m seeing?’
‘An executive from Disney called me,’ she continued, before addressing her momager. ‘Rob Mills… You know these people but they wanted to call me directly, and I was going to connect them with you once I decided if I was going to do it or not…
‘I’m going to do the show, The Bachelorette. I’m going to be the Bachelorette!’
Her family was so shocked by the news that they were stunned into a rare silence.
‘Kim, 100% you’re not doing that,’ Khloe replied. ‘You’re going to be stuck in a house with 20 strange men that you have to make out with on camera? Are you okay?!’
‘I’m so serious,’ she insisted. ‘They’re going to do it in Malibu, that’s so close by!’
‘I’ve thought this through, and I thought it was so much fun.’
The Good American designer explained the idea in an interview and said that her sister would have trouble on the show because she “doesn’t know how to be drunk” and would be lost without her glam team.
She admitted that the idea of the mom-of-four ‘kissing 20 men’ sounded ‘gross’.
Kris wasn’t sold on the idea either, telling the camera: ‘Nope. I’m your momager, manager, mother, name a title. I’ll put any hat on that you want, but you’re not doing it.
‘I watch the show, I love the show, but did I want my daughter on the show? Oh, hell no!’
Rob, who works for Disney as the executive vice president of reality and alternative entertainment, was the first person she called.
He seemed happy about the coup, and he told Kris that they were “probably 90% there” in terms of the contract talks, which threw her off.
‘I just need to wrap my head around something like this because this isn’t exactly the space I saw Kim in,’ she replied. ‘She does have four kids and a big, busy life.’
Kim waited until she was off the phone before putting everyone out of their misery, yelling: ‘I’m kidding, it was a prank! The head of Disney was in on it!’
We won’t see the Kardashians dating on TV anytime soon, but there’s always the next season of Love Island USA…
