Following his riveting ITV interview with Prince Harry, Tom Bradby has been praised, with many thanking him
Tom Bradby has been praised for his fascinating ITV interview with Prince Harry, with many complimenting him for being ‘compassionate’ while still holding the Duke of Sussex accountable.
The king spoke for 90 minutes with the News at 10 anchor on Sunday night, ahead of the release of his contentious book Spare.
During the chat, Prince Harry chastised his father, King Charles, and disclosed his intention to depart the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle.
He also claimed that members of his family had ‘gone to bed with the devil’ to improve their public image, before criticising Jeremy Clarkson for his nasty letter about Meghan.
Following the completion of all six episodes, many viewers flocked to social media to congratulate British journalist Bradby, 55, with one even pushing him to have his own show.
‘Wow! @tombradby is sensational in this Harry interview,’ one wrote. ‘Asking tough TOUGH questions but never talking over Harry. Unlike many TV Interviewers he’s not show boating. He’s asking key questions and trying to understand Harry. Give him his own show!’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘That was the most extraordinary, enlightening, and sad interview I’ve watched for a long time. Chapeau [hat] to @tombradby for being that compassionate and fair but still holding him to account. Not easy to do under these circumstances.’
‘Really like @tombradby way of interviewing, professional impartial but still compassionate he listens and doesn’t have his own agenda,’ another penned.
‘Also hasn’t dropped “their whole friendship” thing. Seems fair and not some hack looking for a big moment of Harry. Phew some good journos left!’
‘I thought @tombradby did a great job with that interview with Prince Harry,’ another wrote. ‘Revealing, scathing and no holds barred. In a nutshell, this is my story, I have every right to tell it. If you don’t like it, that’s your problem.’
While viewers were largely positive about Bradby, many celebrities were left divided over what Prince Harry had to say.
Piers Morgan also predictably spoke out, branding the Duke of Sussex ‘bitter’.
