Zoe explained on her Radio 2 programme, according to The Sun: ‘We’re not going back to Corfu.
‘This time last year we were packing our bags to go there but – and it’s a shame.’
Alan, a guest on her show, replied: ‘I loved doing that show.’
An ITV spokesperson added to the publication: ‘Mamma Mia I Have A Dream was commissioned to celebrate 25 years of the musical, so was only ever intended to be a one off series.
‘The show sought to find a new Sophie and Sky, who are now starring in the West End musical.’
After eight weeks of competition, Zoe announced Stevie and Tobias as the champions in the December 2023 final.
22-year-old Stevie, a musical theatre teacher from Glasgow, said: ‘This is just unbelievable. Actually unbelievable. I don’t believe that it’s happening.;
She added to PA: ‘I was watching my dad when Zoe was about to read out who won, and he couldn’t even look up and I was like, oh my god, this is just as big to him as it is to me.’
Tobias, a singing waiter from Somerset, added: ‘I was quite nervous and hesitant to even apply for this show in the first place. But I thought it’d be such a great thing.’
The 23-year-old went on: ‘I just thought so many people would apply and I thought why would it be me (but) you don’t win the raffle if you don’t buy a ticket.’
Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream is available to watch on ITVX.
