The grumbles are getting louder that Maura Higgins might be making a comeback to Love Island, specifically a speculated All Stars season in the US.
In 2019, Maura, then 32, rocked Love Island with her unique flair for disorder, quickly claiming the queen bombshell throne. She surprisingly paired with Curtis Pritchard, 27, stealing the show.
Fast forward five years, Maura’s fanbase has ballooned to over four million followers on Instagram, and she now hosts Glow Up Ireland.
Rumors are flying that she may be returning to the show after she landed at an airport and was welcomed by two men holding Love Island signs, with: ‘Got a text,’ written on them.
Further fueling the speculation, she posted an airplane photo with a caption that read ‘London, goodbye… for a long time.’
Could this be the ultimate fan dream come true? Only time (and the producers) can tell.
This post by Maura follows talks about a global All Stars edition of Love Island showcasing some of the most notorious participants worldwide.
An insider revealed: ‘ITV’s Love Island All Stars is currently growing, and it’s a topic of conversation they’ve been having.’
‘The idea is to invite some of the most charismatic and successful ex-islanders for a second chance at love,’ The Sun was told.
During a Reddit Ask Me Anything session, executive producer Mike Spencer responded to a fan’s inquiry about a spin-off series.
His response: ‘Personality-wise, I’d adore assembling an “All-Stars” ensemble with former Islanders from all seasons. What are your thoughts?’
Maura would undoubtedly top everyone’s list, but imagine the plethora of Love Island legends that could join her…
All runs of Love Island can be streamed on ITVX.
