The Tinder Swindler conman Simon Leviev, real name Shimon Hayut, has given his first interview following the explosive premiere of the Netflix documentary.
The fraudster, who was exposed in the film posing as billionaire Leviev, swindled his online matches out of millions of pounds and was wanted around the globe for several crimes including forgery and theft.
Since the release of the eye-opening feature-length, his name has continuously popped up in the headlines, as he recently hinted at a big move to Hollywood, and now Hayut has shared his version of events in his first interview which dropped on Monday night.
During the two-part special, Hayut, and his current girlfriend Kate Konlin addressed the claims made against him and even dubbed himself as ‘the biggest gentleman in the world’.
When asked how he felt over how he was perceived, Hayut told Inside Edition: ‘I am not this monster that everybody has created.
‘I was just a single guy that wanted to meet some girls on Tinder.’
Cecilie Fjellhøy, Ayleen Koeleman, Pernilla Sjoholm shared their harrowing experience with the serial swindler in the special and revealed they are still paying off their debts, and despite their in-depth accounts, Hayut still believes he didn’t do anything wrong.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Cecilie and Pernilla said they would fight Hayut to the ‘bitter end’.
‘I lost all my savings, I still don’t know my home. I ended up in debt due collected flights and everything,’ Pernilla told us.
‘So I’m still fighting and trying to get my life back in order but either you just lay down and give up or fight five to 10 times harder.’
