Aggie Mackenzie, star of How Clean Is Your House, has spoken out about her long-running dispute with former co-star Kim Woodburn.
How Clean Is Your Home? stars who rose to prominence when the programme began broadcast in 2003 till it was terminated in 2009.
Since then, the couple has been on a variety of television series, with Aggie appearing on Celebrity MasterChef, Come Dine With Me, and Dancing On Ice.
Meanwhile, Kim, 80, was on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 alongside Nicola McLean, Jaime O’Hara, and Jessica Cunningham.
Aggie claimed during their Channel 4 series that there was a lot of ‘friction’ between the two ladies, which resulted in fantastic TV.
‘I think we’re chalk and cheese,’ she told Nana Akua of GB News.
‘Because of the friction there was between us, it created this energy and so we knew how to be in front of the camera. I mean, most of it was ad lib. We had an idea of the storyline, but we just kind of made it up as we went along.’
She continued: ‘I think for her [Kim] it’s kind of normal to have conflict and I think that if things are calm and easy, I think she found that quite difficult. That’s not me, I like it easy peasy. There were lots of highs, and a few lows.’
Angie said in 2019 that she and Kim hadn’t communicated in 12 years due to a severe falling out during the panto.
‘We were doing panto in Brighton,’ Aggie recalled. ‘I was so shocked and upset and angry. I lost my rag with her.
‘I said, “You’ve really overstepped the mark now!”‘
She added to The Sun: We carried on working together for quite a while but the only speaking we did was on camera.
‘It had all come to a bitter end. We’ve never spoken since.’
