Holly Willoughby is set to lead a jungle-themed Netflix show, inspired by I’m A Celebrity. Get me out of here!
The former This Morning anchor, who left the ITV daytime show in October, has been approached about hosting the series alongside Bear Grylls.
It would put celebrities against survival expert Bear, 49, and would mark Holly’s first significant television appearance since leaving This Morning.
A source said: ‘Bear is working with a production company for Netflix. They want Holly to host.
‘A group of celebrities will be put into a jungle where they will have to tackle a series of challenges.
‘If they lose, they’ll have to pit their wits against Bear, who will be hunting them down.’
The insider added to The Sun that Bear is ‘totally on board’ and ‘accomplished host’ Holly is in the sights of production bosses.
The 42-year-old has previously been on I’m A Celebrity, filling in for Ant McPartlin in 2018.
She is returning to ITV with the next series of Dancing On Ice, following weeks of speculation over who might host.
She will return with Stephen Mulhern, 46, who will replace former co-host Phillip Schofield, 61, after he resigned from ITV and revealed his ‘unwise but not illegal’ romance with a younger runner.
Holly recently posed with Stephen for the first time after keeping a low profile for weeks.
Celebrities such as Ryan Thomas, Adele Roberts, Greg Rutherford, and Amber Davies will compete, along with judges Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, and Oti Mabuse.
Dancing On Ice 2024 launches on Sunday, January 14 at 6.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
