Helen Skelton changed a social media post because it violated BBC standards.
The 40-year-old Strictly Come Dancing finalist for 2022 recently worked as a Morning Live host.
Helen was subsequently eager to express her enthusiasm about the hosting role, as well as her costume specifics, on social media.
Her article, however, appears to have violated the broadcaster’s advertising policies.
Helen first uploaded a flurry of photos from her stay on the show, highlighting her fashionable costumes from Cos and Boden.
Initially, the Countryfile host had labelled the apparel shops, prompting her viewers to purchase her exact outfits.
However, the tags were later deleted from Helen’s Instagram.
She was not compensated monetarily for recognising the businesses on social media.
Her caption reads: ‘Thanks for letting me join in @bbcmorninglive
…. Been a treat to share some mornings with you. Holiday mode activated….. Shout out to grand parents making it all poss… work hard to play hard 🙌😜.’
In a statement a BBC spokesperson said: ‘Helen pays for the clothes she wears on the show and does not have relationships with the brands tagged, and she has now removed brand mentions from social posts linked to the programme.’
As stated on their website, BBC guidelines mean ‘no on-air talent should promote products, goods, services or clothing they use’.
Because the broadcaster is supported by taxpayers, it does not allow commercial advertising or product placements in its media output, which includes television, radio, and internet.

Helen’s social media gaffe comes amid reports that she’s searching for love again after splitting from Richie Myler.
She revealed in April that she and Richie, 33, had divorced after nearly ten years of marriage.
Richie departed their family home four months after Helen gave birth to their third child, and Richie is now in a relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, with whom he has a kid.
Helen is thought to be unwillingly returning to the dating scene.
A source told OK!: ‘After her trust was broken, she’s nowhere near ready for an all-in long-term romance.
‘But she’s not closing herself off to anything anymore.
‘She’s open to new adventures in all respects and is making it her aim to say “yes” to more things that excite her.’
The outlet also reported that Helen has now ‘found her mojo’ again.
