Good Morning Britain guest slams conservatories… while sat in her own conservatory

‘So what you’re doing is, you’re building infrastructure and we’re doing it all round the UK, that isn’t fit for purpose when we have hotter and hotter weather.

‘When we have this hot weather, the tarmac melts and all that other stuff, and people get very ill. They get heat stress, particularly if they’re pregnant or old, they end up in hospital because they can’t regulate their body temperature.’

Viewers were left puzzled, with one writing: ‘She’s telling people not to get a conservatory while sitting in a conservatory.’

‘Woman with conservatory tells people not to build conservatories,’ another added, while one more said: ‘Woman on the telly telling us why we shouldn’t have conservatories while sitting in her own conservatory!’

New rules will come into effect from June that may deter building companies from building new conservatories.

For a new conservatory to be built, it will need to be shown that it will not create ‘unwanted solar gain’.
