The cast of Gen V has offered a heartfelt homage to Chance Perdomo following his untimely passing.
Actor Perdomo died on Friday at the age of 27 in a motorbike accident, prompting an outpouring of condolences from friends and admirers.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star has also landed a lead part in The Boys spinoff Gen V, which was set to begin filming season two this month.
The cast members have now expressed their sadness at their colleague’s ‘shocking loss’.
Maddie Phillips, an actor, made a statement on Instagram on behalf of the whole Gen V ensemble.
It read: ‘Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss.
‘We will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room, his warm hugs and the authenticity he carried with him always.
‘Rest in peace dear friend, you will be deeply missed.’
They signed off with ‘love, the Gen V cast.’
Along with the statement, Maddie posted photos of Perdomo on set, enjoying lunch, lounging in a park between takes, and participating in a large group picture.
It comes after Perdomo’s family confirmed his “untimely death as a result of a motorbike accident.”
‘His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him.
‘His warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask you to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.’
Authorities informed the family that no other people were involved in the collision.
Perdomo was known for his love of motorcycles, and on March 17 this year, shared an Instagram post about his motorbike, writing in the caption: ‘Day 77. Final calm before storm. #backontheroad.’
Perdomo was born in California in 1996, moved to England as a youngster, and holds both American and British citizenship.
