Four years after leaving The Only Way Is Essex, Gemma Collins has ripped into the current cast.
She continues to cement her position as the uncontested queen of reality TV, after fawning over Paul Hollywood and breaking the internet with her presence on Celebrity Bake Off.
If anybody can smell entertainment, it’s The GC, but she now claims that the programme that made her famous has lost its edge due to a bland new ensemble.
‘I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back. What’s happened?’ she gasped.
‘There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar] but the rest of them were terrible.’
Of course, Gemma was on Towie during its heyday, making her debut in series two.
She was wreaking havoc alongside Mark Wright, Kirk Norcross, Lauren Goodger, Sam Faires, Bobby Norris, and, of course, James Argent – aka the greats.
‘There’s no stars there, darling – we were stars,’ she continued to Daily Mirror newspaper.
As a result, Gemma revealed that she will not be returning to her Towie origins.
‘Being in those toxic arguing environments… it’s a load of c**p,’ she stressed.
Towie premiered in 2010 and is now in its 31st season, with cast members such as Dan Edgar, Amber Turner, and James Locke still appearing on a regular basis.
The Only Way Is Essex airs on ITV Be.
