The seventh series of Love Island is right around the corner, and former contestants, as well as fans, can barely contain their excitement ahead of the first episode.
The programme has been absent from screens since early 2020 – with last summer’s series falling victim to the Covid pandemic – making its arrival on our screens all the more anticipated.
Eleven new contestants will be kicking things off in the villa in their quest to find love.
The upcoming season will make history with Hugo Hammond becoming the first-ever disabled contestant to appear on the dating show after bosses said the programme will feature its most diverse line-up yet.
Fans of the show have been taking to Twitter to share their excitement about the dating competition returning to our screens, which includes the likes of Amber Gill.
Amber of course rose to fame on the fifth series of Love Island in 2019 and now can enjoy the drama in the villa from the comfort of her own home.

‘I’m actually so excited to be able to watch the TL and memes whilst #LoveIsland is on,’ she tweeted today.
Her Twitter followers joined in on her excitement, as at the time of writing almost 5,000 people had liked the post.
One person commented: ‘We’re ready for your commentary queen.’
Amber isn’t the only person to share that they’re looking forward to the new season, as DJ, model and presenter Snoochie Shy said she was ready for the new series.
Snoochie wrote: ‘SOOOOOOO excited for #LoveIsland tonight.’
Fans have been inundating Twitter all day ahead of tonight’s first episode.
‘Really excited to share that I have been commissioned by myself to live tweet the best #LoveIsland content. Thank you to my family, friends and team for supporting me,’ one person wrote.
‘Please note that from Monday 28th June I will no longer be contactable from 8pm to 11pm. I know Love Island is only on from 9pm to 10pm but I need at least an hour to prepare myself & an hour after to scroll through all the new memes,’ said another.
Another fan added: ‘Logging on for my one true love #LoveIsland bec [sic] there’s nothing more beautiful to me than watching a woman wake up, take a sip of water out of a bottle with her name on it while a man makes her the worst breakfast in the world.’
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
