Warning: spoilers ahead for the Drag Race UK Vs The World semi-final.
The five remaining queens on Drag Race UK Vs The World have been whittled down to four in a semi-final that saw Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall dazzle on the judges panel.
After last week’s elimination drama, when Blu Hydrangea shocked viewers across the nation by axing Pangina Heals, tonight, it was Jujubee’s turn to cast the deciding vote.
Having lip synced for the world against Mo Heart, the American queen was tasked with choosing between Blu, Baga Chipz and Janey Jacké to get the chop, eventually opting for Janey to receive the boot.
Jujubee sobbed on the main stage as she revealed her decision, after the queens performed a girl group number to the track ‘London’ and delivered show-stopping runway looks inspired by the theme ‘Werk of Art’.
While Janey was disappointed to leave the competition one stop away from the final, she had no regrets about her time on the show.
‘I wouldn’t have done anything else, as you learn from your mistakes and the challenges really made me werk!’ she stated.
‘There were a few challenges that I didn’t have any experience in like the sewing challenge, which I won(!) and the singing challenge, when I recorded a song for the first time ever, even though I can’t really sing. I went for it, learned so much and enjoyed every moment.’
The performer acknowledged that Snatch Game ‘was a harder challenge for me’, saying that in retrospect, she perhaps would have ‘made smarter choices and got less in my heard if I’d have some more improve acting classes’.
‘I think I just needed to let go and just have fun, but, as I say, the challenges have made me a better queen for it, and I have learnt from my mistakes!’ she added.
She also expressed her pride in representing Dutch drag, saying that she has ‘never been prouder of myself on this journey’.
‘It felt amazing to represent Holland in this international arena. I have made my country incredibly proud,’ the queen said.
‘I’ve received so many wonderful messages and the most amazing response to the show. The viewing parties in Holland were incredible and it was an honour to be the first ever Dutch drag queen to be on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Versus The World.’
With one week to go until the grand finale, when all of the axed queens will return for one final hurrah, who’s your winner? Have your say below!
Drag Race UK Vs The World returns next week at 9pm on BBC Three and is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
