The mother of all Drag Race competitions is set to launch on BBC Three very soon, and now the contestants taking part in Drag Race UK Versus The World have been revealed.
Some of the most-loved names from past UK series are going up for the top prize, as queens compete against international stars of the franchise for the ultimate crown.
Judges Michelle Visage, RuPaul, Alan Carr and Graham Norton are back in action in the new episodes and they’re ready to critique the queens throughout the series.
That’s not all, with Katie Price, Daisy May Cooper and Johannes Radebe also announced as special guests.
But who will they be appraising?
From cult icons to fearsome international challengers, these are the stars to watch out for in Drag Race UK Versus The World.
Baga Chipz (Drag Race UK season 1)
Drag Race star Baga Chipz finished third in the first season of the UK series, and now she’s full of confidence that ‘the most famous woman is here to slay.’
‘I’m going to BRING it this time!’ she said. ‘The wigs, the outfits are going to be MUCH BETTA. I am ready to battle. I’m going to knock them out one by one! Baga Chipz is going to kick you right up the a***.
I want to be queen of the world! I am in it to win it.’
Blu Hydrangea (Drag Race UK season 1)
After finishing fifth in the first UK season, Blu Hydrangea is ready to take it to the next level and do it for the UK – as well as ‘being visible for the queers of Belfast and Northern Ireland’.
‘I’m ready to make it to the top,’ she said. ‘I deserve to reign supreme. When I walked into season one, I said let’s paint the town blue. Well how about we paint the world blue! But RuPaul still makes me s*** myself a little bit… so we’ll see.’
Cheryl Hole (Drag Race UK season 1)
A fourth place finish in the first season of the UK show is a good marker for the self-declared Queen of Essex, and Cheryl Hole is ready to show what she can really do in the new series.
‘I am the one to beat!’ Cheryl said. ‘And I’m ready to show that I’m not mediocre anymore! This is the queen of the huns right here. I’m gonna have all the badges. I’m gonna be walking sideways because it’s so heavy because I’ve got all the badges… and I’ll be Queen of the World!’
Janey Jacké (Drag Race Holland season 1)
Janey, who was the runner up in the Dutch version of Drag Race season one, is looking to be ‘100% real’ in the new competition. After just missing out on the top prize in her home country, she has a point to prove.
‘I’m going to approach it with a lot of fire,’ she said about the new series. ‘They think I’m just a pretty girl. But I want to break the stereotypes of what people think of the Netherlands. I’ve got it all! I’ve got the performances, I got jokes, I got everything in this package!’
Jimbo (Canada’s Drag Race season 1)
After coming fourth in the Canadian series, firecracker and self-proclaimed ‘big breasted bimbo of the north’ Jimbo is definitely one to look out for.
After being ‘robbed’ during her home competition, she’s out for revenge – and by the sounds of it, the queens should be very afraid…
‘I can’t wait to take out my sisters,’ she said. ‘I’m going to crush them with my breasts, stab them with my fingers…. And then scream at them! I have a thirst for drag blood. Make sure that you sleep with one eye open!’
Jujubee (Drag Race USA season 2, Drag Race All Stars 1 and 5)
Fans of the US series will know all about Jujubee. The ‘Drag Race OG’ starred in the first, second and fifth seasons and despite people thinking she’s ‘crazy’ for coming back again, she’s going for the crown.
‘There’s no way that I’m NOT getting to the top every single time,’ Jujubee said, considering her chances. ‘I am a pro at this competition. These girls can learn something from me! Ru might as well just give me the crown now! I’ll buy a farm, have a whole bunch of chickens and cats – I won’t bother her anymore!’
Lemon (Canada’s Drag Race season 1)
Lemon is bringing a little zest to the competition having finished fifth in the Canadian series, and she promises to bring a little something to every area of the competition.
‘Lemon is a comedy queen, a dancer, a look queen, a ****** icon,’ she said.
Discussing her competition, Lemon said: ‘I think they are going to be very scared of me. I look good in a tiara. It’d be really nice to give me one..?’
Mo Heart (Drag Race USA season 10, All Stars 4)
You might know her better under the previous name Monique Heart, but Mo Heart finished runner-up in USA All Stars – and has been a part of the Drag Race family for some time.
‘When RuPaul gives you an opportunity, baby, you’d better take it to the max,’ she said, and you can’t say fairer than that.
She promises to bring it to the new season, saying: ‘I am truly prepared for the competition. It’s not just that my runway looks that are going to slay – which they are, trust me! But y’all knew Monique – and it’s time for you to know Mo Heart. She’s a winner baby.’
Pangina Heals (Drag Race Thailand 1 and 2)
Not only did Pangina Heart star in seasons one and two of the Thailand’s version of the series, but she also now hosts the show.
‘I can sing, I can dance, I can act! I am an Asian chameleon. I love serving you a different variety of drag,’ she said, teasing her talents.
‘I’m excited to compete with all the queens from the world – but they don’t know who I am. I am going to be the dark horse of this competition! I know what they can do, but they don’t know what I can do.’
