Dianne Buswell, a Strictly Come Dancing judge, has gone to Australia to see her ailing father.
The professional dancer, 34, departed the UK shortly after last weekend’s Strictly final, when she finished second to dance partner, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20.
Dianne disclosed last month that her father Mark was ill after he became obviously distraught during the BBC dance series.
She went on to say that he’d been diagnosed with a medical issue, and that a scheduled trip for her parents to meet her had been cancelled, and she’d instead be spending Christmas at home.
She soon informed that he had also began chemotherapy treatment.
Dianne has posted a heartwarming image after coming home to her parent’s property in Bunbury, Western Australia, just days after the last season of Strictly concluded.
Posting a photo with her dad, Dianne captioned her Instagram post: ‘And from the concert to having our first morning coffee I’m home @mark.3802.’
They were both wearing their PJs and having a cup of coffee while sitting outside.
Her tweet alluded to the way her father referred to the Strictly Live gigs, which Mark referred to as ‘concerts’ when he wrote her words of encouragement before of each show, which she would then share with her fans.
She was sent many sweet messages from fans and colleagues alike on her latest post, with Strictly winner Vito Coppola writing ‘Oh yesss’ alongside a series of love heart emojis on her post.
Ola Jordan added: ‘Aww that’s lovely. He’s got his baby back with him now x.’
Joe Sugg, Dianne’s boyfriend, also travelled to Australia with her, taking a selfie of her on the plane before later sharing a photo of their feet in the sand on a beach as the sun sank.
She uploaded a photo of her father in a hospital bed after his first round of treatment a few weeks ago, saying she wishes she could ‘be there to hold your hand and support you in person’.
Dianne expressed her grief at being so far away from her family when she first learned her father was ill.
‘Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing so I did struggle a little bit last week in terms of that,’ she shared.
Strictly Come Dancing is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
