Dancing on Ice viewers have branded the show ‘a fix’ after Lady Leshurr landed in the first skate-off of the series and Rufus Hound was saved by the judges.
During last night’s launch show, the rapper performed an uptempo routine with Brendyn to Little Mix’s hit song Salute.
Despite the positive feedback she received from the judges, being placed joint top of the leaderboard, it was announced after a public vote that she and her dance partner Brendyn Hatfield will take part in next week’s skate-off.
Comedian and actor Rufus, who received the second-lowest score last night, was awarded the coveted Golden Ticket from the judges.
Angry viewers took to Twitter after the episode, with many branding the fact Lady Leshurr was in the skate-off and that Rufus was saved ‘a fix’.
Taking to Twitter one viewer raged ‘Dancing on Ice have obviously decided to fix the scores!’
Another said: ‘What the hell, Rufas n Robin??? If the points carry on like this I’ll not be watching, fix fix fix.’
While one raged: ‘This show makes no sense… Rufus gets the golden ticket even tho he had no injury’s and was lower than 4 people…. such a fix!’
‘It was a complete fix there is no way these two should be in that skate off and everyone’s comments on social media prove that too!!!’ another said.
Other viewers felt that the judges had made the right decision in giving Rufus Hound their first golden ticket, with many taking to social media to praise him.
‘Rufus Hound could actually win this à la Bill Bailey,’ one viewer tweeted.
Another said: ‘Oh I love Rufus so much.’
One added: ‘I think the golden ticket could of gone to a lot of them tonight but well done Rufus Hound.’
It comes after Lady Leshurr defended the judges’ decision to put her in the skate-off as she admitted the other stars are ‘more dedicated to this’.
‘Listen, I’ve got to be 100% honest with myself,’ she began in an Instagram live video.
‘I can see and I have noticed that a lot of the other celebs are so much more passionate and focussed and dedicated to this.
‘When I am seeing that comment and I am seeing it quite a lot, you guys don’t understand how much effort and time goes into this.
‘Imagine, everyone is doing everything I am doing but they are going in even more.’
She later went on to add that she didn’t take part in the competition ‘to win’ as she continued: ‘
