Denise Van Outen skated for the first time on Dancing On Ice after dislocating her shoulder.
The actress ended up in hospital after falling face first onto the ice during rehearsals.
She appeared with her shoulder strapped up on Sunday’s launch show with partner Matt Evers, doing her best to battle the nerves due to the injury.
The couple were scored quite low, receiving 19.5 points overall from judges Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman.
Asked how she had been holding up since the incident, Denise shared: ‘It’s really sore, but because of the adrenaline I can’t feel it.’
She joked: ‘I’m more concerned that I couldn’t shave my armpits for four days! So if you saw any spiders legs…’
The judges noticed she was visibly nervous throughout, with Chris saying: ‘You’re holding on to Matt a little bit.
‘Once this arm is better and you get more confidence I know you’ll come out fighting.’
Ashley said: ‘I’ve got so much respect. It was interesting seeing the two halves. The energy was on point when you were on the stage but you got onto the ice and it was way more reserved.’
Sunday’s episode saw the first six celebrities take to the rink in a line-up that included Joe-Warren Plant, Rufus Hound and Lady Leshurr.
Disaster struck for Emmerdale star Joe-Warren as he slipped mid-performance, but viewers praised the young actor for his speedy recovery.
The next batch of celebrities will take to the ice next week.
Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
