Viewers of a new Channel 4 show were baffled after The Plaza Hotel served their £230 ($307) Christmas buffet at 10am.
Well, if you can’t have Turkey for breakfast on Christmas Day, when can you?
The new programme titled Christmas in New York: Inside the Plaza took viewers behind the scenes at one of the most luxurious hotels over Christmas.
During the one-off episode, we saw how guests got the five-star treatment, as the staff went above and beyond to please everyone who stepped foot in there.
The hotel not only attracts guests who want to stay there, but they also see hundreds of people through their door each day just to experience the luxury of the restaurant.
Tickets to their Christmas Day buffet are like gold dust as they only have 400 seats available.
The lunch takes weeks of preparation, but when it came to the day, viewers couldn’t get over the fact that they began the buffet at 10am.
Taking to Twitter one viewer said: ‘£230 for Christmas dinner at 10 in the morning? I’d still be soaking up the Christmas Eve alcohol with sausage sandwiches.’
Another commented: ‘Are they serving turkey 10am???
While one added: ‘Who serves Christmas Dinner at 10am?’
‘How early?’ Another said.
The Plaza Hotel featured in Home Alone 2 in 1992 and one iconic scene that everyone will remember is the one in the lobby where Donald Trump makes an appearance.
