Below Deck star Fraser Olender had his say on chief stewardess Heather Chase, and he wasn’t very complimentary on her work.
Season nine of the Bravo reality series kicked off recently and it hasn’t quite been smooth sailing for the new cast so far, with cracks forming in the interior crew.
And it doesn’t look like there is any love lost between the colleagues, with the second stew taking aim at just how hard his boss worked.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live beside deckhand Rayna Lindsey, host Andy Cohen asked Fraser how Heather could improve as a leader – and he pulled absolutely no punches with his response.
‘Doing a bit of work,’ he replied savagely as his co-star giggled and agreed: ‘He’s speaking nothing but facts, child.’
Speaking of the ‘first red flag’ he encountered in their time working together, Fraser continued: ‘I didn’t really notice it until the first trip. I just felt that I was everywhere.
‘I love my job and I love every part of it, I love the service and the housekeeping and everything else, laundry included.
‘But I can’t do everything at once and I didn’t see Jess [Albert, third stewardess] doing much, and to be honest, I didn’t see Heather doing much.
‘That bothered me because I was really doing my best to keep everything afloat.’
The newbie also blasted Heather’s ‘tone’ and the way she spoke on board and insisted that he does things ‘very differently’ now that he is in the same position.
‘As a leader now, I’m a chief stew on my boat, I do things very differently.’
Noted…
Below Deck season nine is available to stream on hayu now, with new episodes dropping on Tuesday.
