As she joined the interviewing panel for the first time, Baroness Karren Brady didn’t hold back in putting the last five contenders in their place.
Dani Donovan, Marnie Swindells, Megan Hornby, Rochelle Anthony, and Victoria Goulbourne have made it to the final round of Lord Alan Sugar’s £250,000 investment search.
They eventually made it to the dreaded interview stage, when they had to present their business strategies to Lord Sugar’s trusted advisors: Linda Plant, Mike Soutar, Claude Littner, and Baroness Brady.
Lord Sugar introduced the new addition to the panel, saying, ‘I’m glad to inform Baroness Brady will be one of my advisors.’
‘I don’t know why you’re smiling,’ he cautioned.
And the threat came true when Megan provoked Baroness Brady’s fury by calling her… Karren.
After facing a grilling over her business, Megan, ready to leave, said: ‘Thank you Karren.’
Baroness Brady quickly replied: ‘It’s Baroness Brady to you. My friends call me Karren.’
The sassy scene had viewers in stitches, with one writing: ‘Baroness Brady just became even more iconic.’
Another wrote: ‘”It’s Baroness Brady to you” is the most Karen thing that Karen has ever said.’
‘Baroness Brady has definitely overtaken Linda as the most savage Interviewer,’ someone else penned.
As if that wasn’t enough, it wasn’t long before Baroness Brady had two contenders in tears.
While Victoria was discussing her business, it didn’t take long for her to grab for the Kleenex due to her figures not adding up.
‘It’s a pretty big mistake,’ Baroness Brady pointed out, before Victoria burst into tears.
Dani was the next to ask for the tissues, after telling Baroness Brady that she ‘didn’t think [she] would get this far’.
‘Don’t have faith in yourself?’ Baroness Brady questioned.
‘To be perfectly honest, no, I just think I hold myself back a little back,’ a tearful Dani replied.
‘I’m disappointed with you. Because you out of everybody have worked so hard to get to this stage,’ Baroness Brady told her.
Dani was then left correcting herself as she departed, saying: ‘Thank you for your time, Karren. Baroness Brady, sorry!’
