What do we know about Millie’s Doctor Who character Ruby Sunday?
We don’t know much about Ruby, but Doctor Ncuti told Screen Rant that the character’s casting ‘bore into me as to what Doctor I would be’.
‘I believe Ruby Sunday, unlike the other companions… they’re all the eyes of the audience, and they are the audience, but they’re also who The Doctor…
‘The Doctor’s been around forever and seen lots of things. And so they are able to just see the universe through the eyes of the companion. It’s a really important little dynamic.’
The actor continued: ‘Specifically about Ruby, I think what makes her different is just the mystery that’s surrounding her.
‘There’s a mystery that surrounds her that The Doctor wants to get to the bottom of. And we see the start of that in “The Church on Ruby Road”, and then that mystery continues throughout season one. That’s all I can say.’
