On Wednesday’s The One Show, Alex Jones made a comical mistake when she assumed Asa Butterfield was in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
It was Asa’s Your Christmas or Mine 2 co-star Daniel Mays who appeared in the film, and when Alex, 46, questioned Asa, 26, about the film, he and Daniel, 45, broke out laughing.
The actors were on the BBC show to chat about their aforementioned Christmas flick when Alex pointed at Asa and said: ‘You’re in the new Chicken Run.’
Asa looked slightly confused before pointing at Daniel, who laughed: ‘No, I’m in the new Chicken Run.’
Asa then quipped: ‘I am?’ before Daniel, impersonating Asa, added: ‘I missed that.’
Alex Scott, Alex’s co-host, couldn’t stop laughing as the hilarious gaffe unfolded.
The funny events happened a day after Paddy McGuiness caused a squabble with Rebecca Ferguson over how to pronounce “there.”
The 50-year-old comedian and the 40-year-old A-lister stopped by the BBC studio to talk to Alex and Jermaine Jenas about their forthcoming projects, with the former discussing his new comedy show, Nearly There.
When Swedish actress Rebecca struggled to grasp Bolton-born Paddy’s pronunciation of ‘there,’ things took a turn for the worse.
As Paddy and Rebecca got stuck into an almighty back and forth about the correct pronunciation, former footballer Jermaine burst into laughter as Alex quipped: ‘It’s Paddy isn’t it? It always derails when he comes [on the show].’
Paddy recently confirmed that he’d be taking his comedy show on tour, saying in a press release: ‘It’s been eight years since my last tour and there’s lots of things to laugh about! I’m looking forward to getting back in front of a live audience, along with running the gauntlet of cancel culture, click bait and fake news.’
