Keanu Reeves has already admitted he would love to join the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s one small problem.
The 57-year-old actor is returning to the big screen this month in the long-awaited sequel The Matrix Resurrections, reprising his iconic role as Neo in the action sci-fi franchise.
However, fans are already looking to Keanu’s next possible role and they’re desperately hoping it’ll be within the MCU.
Keanu recently said it would be ‘an honour’ to become a Marvel superhero and, frankly, it couldn’t be more of a fitting role considering he’s already an action blockbuster hero.
However, the actor is unsure of where he’d fit into the universe or which character he’d be best suited to.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Keanu replied: ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t know! I actually don’t have an answer. There’s so many wonderful films and filmmakers and artists participating in those films.
‘It would be wonderful to be a part of.’
It echoes his recent sentiments about becoming a member of the MCU, as he told Esquire: ‘Isn’t it bigger than a universe? It’s almost like a multiverse… It’s a Marvel-verse.’
The John Wick star continued: ‘It would be an honour. There’s some really amazing directors, and visionaries, and they’re doing something no one’s ever really done.
