Dolly Parton can officially add ‘hero’ to her list of achievements after she saved the life of her Christmas On The Square co-star.
Child actress Talia Hill, nine, revealed how the iconic county singer pulled her out on harm’s way while on the set of their Netflix movie.
In an interview with ‘Inside Edition’ Talia explained that she had been walking to set when she felt someone pull her backward just as a car was coming.
She stated: ‘We were on set and I was at the hot chocolate station and they said to go back to your beginning positions.
‘So there is a vehicle moving and I was walking and somebody grabbed me, pulled me back, and I looked up and it was Dolly Parton, and I was like surprised.’
The young actress continued: ‘She’s like, “Well, I am an angel, you know” because she plays an angel in the movie. I was in shock. She hugged me and shook me and said, “I saved your life!”‘
Talia’s family all got to be in the presence of the 9 to 5 hitmaker as her brothers Tristan,16, and Tyson, 13, were also cast in the film.
Tristan had nothing but praise for Dolly as he added: ‘When you think of Dolly Parton, you are just like, “It is Dolly Parton,” but when you actually see her you are like “Wow, it’s Dolly Parton.”‘
‘Being in her presence lifts you. She is so amazing.’
It’s confirmed folks, Dolly truly is an angel on earth.
Plus the Jolene singer, 74, plays an angel sent to save a town from eviction by showing a modern-day Scrooge property developer the error of her ways in Christmas On The Square.
Regina Fuller – played by Christine Baranski – is set to ruin Christmas for the residents of Fullerville by evicting them and their dogs from their homes right in the middle of the holidays.
Christmas in the Square is available to stream on Netflix.
