Sophie Turner declared 2023 to be ‘the year of the girlies’ following her separation from Joe Jonas, and fans are salivating.
Turner, 27, who portrayed Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and American musician Jonas, 34, announced the end of their four-year marriage in a joint statement in September.
The pair, who have two kids together, met in 2016 and married in May 2019 in Las Vegas.
Reflecting on the past year and looking ahead to 2024, Turner wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday: ‘2023 was the year of the girlies. 2024s forecast is looking fairly consistent.’
The post includes photographs of Turner with various groups of women, including music sensation Taylor Swift, who briefly dated Jonas in 2008 and was a huge supporter of Turner during their divorce.
Another photo showed Turner and her companions exhibiting small matching tattoos on their arms, while the actress also went skiing with friends and was photographed constructing daisy chains.
Fans welcomed Turner’s ‘girlies’ era with her alleged ‘dig’ at her ex in the star’s comment section.
‘Must be a relief not pretending to like Jonas Brothers music anymore tbh,’ mused Lisa Perry, while Bridgette added: ‘Must be a relief to wear heels again.’
‘I guess the post break up glow is common for all women,’ commented user @anactashiyah.
‘Matriarchy at its best ,’ wrote Flavia Orsini.

Keke Palmer, who finished 2023 solo following a difficult breakup with ex Darius Jackson, also expressed her support with two heart-eye emoji.
Jonas and Turner made their first public appearance in November 2016 during a Kings of Leon performance in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Turner told Harper’s Bazaar that the singer had messaged her ‘out of the blue’ on social media after mutual friends had been seeking to meet the couple ‘for a long time’.
After a year of dating, the pair announced their engagement in October 2017, with Turner posting an Instagram photo of her diamond engagement ring.
Turner appeared in the music video for the Jonas Brothers’ comeback track Sucker, with Nick Jonas’ wife Priyanka Chopra and Kevin Jonas’ wife Danielle, in March 2019.
Following the Billboard Music Awards in May 2019, the pair married, and in July 2020, their managers reported that Turner had given birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl called Willa.
Turner announced her second pregnancy at the Met Gala in 2022, after showing off her burgeoning baby belly on the red carpet in a long-sleeved black, floor-length Louis Vuitton gown.
Turner was honoured into the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside the Jonas Brothers and their spouses in January 2023.
Jonas described his wife as ‘my partner in crime’, telling fans at the ceremony in Los Angeles: ‘You keep me motivated and inspired every day.’
However, in September 2023 a statement shared to their respective Instagram accounts confirmed they were ‘amicably’ ending their marriage.
The post read: ‘After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
‘There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.’
The filing said ‘the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken’.
Turner, who looks to have moved on with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson after being caught kissing in Paris and London lately, has secured custody of her and Jonas’ kids, Willa, three, and Delphine, one, for Christmas in England.
According to court filings, they planned to stay with her for the New Year’s Eve celebrations and until January 7.
People claim the documents show Joe flew the children over from the states on December 17, where they had been for Thanksgiving.
