Seann Walsh’s baby daughter has a really unusual name.
Last week, the comedian became a father for the first time, welcomed a baby daughter with his partner Grace Adderley.
Seann, 37, has revealed the name of his child, and it is unmistakably a famous nickname.
He named his newborn one Wylda Primrose Adderley-Walsh and shared the sweetest photo of her resting sweetly.
‘I’m hoping she’s more fashionable than us. ‘Can you tell?’ he teased.
‘Can’t wait until the day she demands me take them down,’ he said, after sharing a few images of his daughter.
Seann also provided an update on his other half, claiming he can now ‘breathe’ because the new mother is doing ‘better’ after giving birth.
‘Turns out I could have probably gone to the comedy awards, so I will be having words later,’ the comedian said, having missing Friday night’s celebration to spend time with his family.
Seann later shared what he would have named his daughter if she had been a male, and we’re not sure whether he’s serious.
Taking to Instagram, the I’m A Celebrity judge beamed as baby Wylda nestled against his chest.
‘Ghostbusters is on’, he wrote.
‘If she’d been a boy, she would have been called Charlie Egon’, he penned, referencing the fictional character in the Ghostbusters franchise. ‘I’m not joking’.
Seann then shared a photo of his mother and infant having a nice moment, complimenting his other half with the words ‘female strength’.
However, Wylda’s delivery did not go as smoothly for Seann, as the comic passed out!
‘So, Grace has delivered our kid, and [I’m] seated here in the very relaxed postnatal department, and the nurses have been fantastic,’ he said in a jubilant announcement video last Sunday.
‘The nurses have been coming up to me all morning and congratulating me which has just been lovely.’
‘I didn’t realise so many people understood what the Chortle comedy award for best show was, but you know, these nurses have their finger on the pulse,’ he joked. They truly do.’
Seann subsequently returned to the site to tell a hilarious birth story, writing: ‘Oh btw. During the birth, I passed out. Naturally, I did.
‘The nurse’s response… “Men”. Fair.’
Seann and Grace, who have been dating since 2019, previously stated that they would not know the gender of their child until it was born.
‘We’ve decided not to find out if we’re having a girl or a boy until the big day, and I don’t have a preference, but for some reason I can only picture a boy,’ he revealed alongside Grace in an interview with Hello! magazine.
Discussing their plans for the birth, he joked: ‘Grace will be immersed in the miracle of it all, while I’ll be thinking, “This could make a good 10 minutes on stage”.’
