Seann Walsh was shocked when fans did not react in astonishment when they learned that the comedian passed out during the delivery of his first kid.
On Sunday, the 37-year-old actor announced the birth of his kid with girlfriend Grace Adderley and claimed the hardship was too much for him.
Following his admission that he fainted in the birth room, the former I’m A Celebrity… A Get Me Out of Here! participant laughed about his spell’s lack of surprise.
Taking to Instagram stories, Seann sent a light-hearted message revealing his thoughts following the big revelation last weekend.
‘Can I just say FYI, I’m a little angry that no one is surprised that I collapsed during Grace’s labour,’ the renowned visage scribbled on a black backdrop.
‘I thought I was a strong independent man [sic]’.
The comedian shared the good news with his social media fans, along with a photo of the infant resting in Grace’s arms.
‘Grace has gone through so much this week, but she’s now okay,’ the caption reads over the new mother’s shoulder. We’ve arrived. Female empowerment.
‘Her bravery has made my fainting all the more pathetic [sic]’.
In a video, he also talked to followers, telling them what transpired as he welcomed his child into the world.
Seann said: ‘So Grace has had our baby and [I’m] sat here in the very relaxing postnatal department and the staff have been great.
‘The nurses have been coming up to me all morning and congratulating me which has just been lovely.
‘I didn’t realise how many people knew what the Chortle comedy award for best show was but, you know, these nurses have their finger on the pulse. They really do.
‘Just shows you how well the NHS is doing really. I should have brought the award with me but I just wasn’t thinking.’
He then quipped: ‘The baby. Great week actually, really great week.’
Later, the actor took to Instagram to mock himself for passing out: ‘Oh btw. During the birth, I passed out. Naturally, I did.
‘The nurse’s response… “Men”. Fair.’
