Hannah Spearritt of S Club 7 has claimed that she and her family spent Christmas and New Year’s at an office because their landlord evicted them.
The popular 90s singer said that she had moved four times in the past six months, calling the experience “stressful” but added, “you cope with it.”
The 41-year-old, who is married to fitness instructor Adam Thomas and has daughters Tea, 4, and Tora, 3, said it was ‘simply not true’ that she and her bandmates, who include Jo O’Meara and Rachel Stevens, were’millionaires.
‘It was stressful but you deal with it, don’t you? Especially with the kids.’
She added: ‘People think we must all be millionaires but sadly it’s just not true. It was what it was and we enjoyed ourselves at the time.’
Hannah also revealed to the newspaper that she had been unwell and was forced to stay in bed, and that she and her business partner had been unable to move on with their planned café.
S Club 7 were formed in 1998 and consisted of Hannah, Rachel, Jo, Bradley McIntosh, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, and Tina Barrett.
Their hits included Don’t Stop Movin’, Bring It All Back, and Never Had A Dream Come True.
Hannah is the only original member of S Club who has decided not to participate in the upcoming reunion concerts, which will include performances at London’s O2 Arena in the fall.
She recently said: ‘Do I miss it? I’m grateful for it, but no, I’m very much living the next chapter of life.
‘I do look back fondly. Life has changed completely, and I have changed completely. I have children and all that, sort of, stuff, so it wouldn’t work.’
