Piers Morgan was straight round to the hairdressers as the next stage of easing lockdown came into effect on Monday (April 12).
The former Good Morning Britain presenter looked happy to be able to pop in for a trim, making sure he followed public health guidelines by wearing a face mask for the visit.
Piers, who quit the ITV daytime programme last month, looked very different following his time in the salon chair, with his short grey swept over to one side as his stylist got to work with a pair of scissors.
Taking a photo with stylists Cheryl Munoz and Rachel Varney, who worked their magic on his hair, he gave a thumbs up in the mirror as he captured the moment on his phone.
In the picture caption he said: ‘Hair we go! God it’s good to be back under the knife… thanks @cherylmunozhair @hairbyracheldg .’
His former GMB colleague Richard Arnold left the jokey response: ‘A fine weave .’
The rest of his followers praised his new, smartened up look, with one writing: ‘Looking mighty fine PM!’.
‘Looking good Piers as always’ said another fan, as one posted: ‘There’s a definite Tin Tin inspired quiff look happening there. Strong!’
‘More handsome than ever Piers!!’ another excited fan said.

The Life Stories presenter had paid a visit to the very swish Daniel Galvin hairdressers in Kensington, where a men’s cut from the senior style director costs £97.
The dad-of-four is taking his time before making is next move post-Good Morning Britain, which he walked away from over his comments about the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s mental health.
He has since claimed he has received messages of ‘gratitude’ from ‘several members of the Royal Family’ over his well-publicised, long-running criticism of Meghan.
